Top Fundraising Tips for Nordoff Robbins Scotland

Thank you for running for Nordoff Robbins Scotland, the largest music therapy charity in Scotland. We use music to help 1100 people every year who are isolated by disability, illness or mental health challenges. This is the difference you will help us to make:

“Music is an essential tool for K. The music enables her to communicate in ways which would be almost impossible – this builds on relationships and trust which helps K interact with her peers. Music is the EVERYTHING - always has been and always will be.”

£60 = a music therapy session for a child

£600 = a special school with a selection of instruments

£1600 = music therapy for a whole year

We are sure that you have some training ahead for the run and you may have even started already. Your fundraising is vital and we need you to do all you can to meet your sponsorship pledge. Here are some top tips to get you going.

SET UP your fundraising page online here:

Create Your Fundraising Page

The easier it is for people to donate, the more they’re likely to give.

SET your fundraising target above your pledge

It always helps to aim high and people are often inclined to give more towards a greater target.

PERSONALISE your fundraising page

We can supply a Nordoff Robbins Scotland logo, pictures, training sessions and details of why you’re doing this event will help bring in more money.

SHARE on social media to tell everyone what you’re doing

Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Whatsapp, however you communicate with your friends, use it to spread the word about what you’re doing.

DON’T be afraid to ask for sponsorship

You’re doing a great thing and there is absolutely no harm in asking people for their support.

We’re here to support you every step of the way and that includes your fundraising. If you need any help or advice on how to set up your fundraising page and get the donations rolling in or if you’ve any questions, please get in touch.
